Tender Announcement for Training Organizations

CNFA announces a tender for organizations to conduct training for producers of high value crops (fruits, vegetables and table grapes) to improve production volume and quality.

Targeted training activities for agricultural producers are an integral part of ADP?s overall strategy to improve the competitiveness of Moldovan high value agriculture. ADP specifically promotes efficient modern technologies in an effort to improve production volume and quality. CNFA announces a tender for enterprises (NGOs or private companies) licensed to conduct training activities, in order to render services under sub-contract with ADP.

The training organization will be responsible for:
— Preparation of rural based training plan (curriculum, schedule) on topics of production volume and quality improvement, as based on CNFA/ADP programmatic objectives and targets;
— Development of informational and training materials;
— Identification of demonstration plots and conducting training field study;
— Delivery of the training program to selected producers;
— Evaluation of trainee knowledge and abilities;
— Regular reporting on training activity progress and deliverables.

Interested organizations must observe the following requirements:
— Three years of experience in conducting training activities;
— Experience in implementing rural-based training programs and developing training materials targeting rural participants;
— Capacity to organize theoretical and practical aspects of the trainings;
— Trainer knowledge of the following crop-specific topics: fruits, grapes and vegetable production;
— Access to a network of local consultants that would be available to organize and conduct training activities;
— Capacity to test and evaluate trainees? knowledge and practical abilities;
— Established linkages and relationships with agribusiness enterprises, research institutes, universities;
— Experience in implementing donor funded activities.

Joint proposals (i.e. partnerships between 2 or more applicants) are encouraged. Deadline for submission is February 7, 2005. Only those short-listed will be contacted.
