Call for Applications - Food Safety/EurepGAP Seminar

Organizational and Logistical Support to CNFA Agribusiness Development Project (ADP)

The USAID-funded Agribusiness Development Project aims to increase the export competitiveness of Moldova’s high-value agricultural sector (consisting of fruits, vegetable and table grape clusters). As part of the technical assistance provided to fresh fruit and vegetable producers, processors and exporters, ADP is organizing a Food Safety/EurepGap Seminar to introduce the notion of EurepGAP certification and increase awareness of the strict quality requirements for suppliers to more lucrative European markets. CNFA calls for applications from enterprises (NGOs or private companies) to provide organizational and logistical support in conducting this seminar.

The sub-contractor will be responsible for:
- Selecting an appropriate venue for the seminar,
- Selecting and inviting the participants (in close coordination with CNFA),
- Selecting speakers/consultants and facilitating the preparation of presentation materials,
- Coordinating mass media participation.

Interested organizations must observe the following requirements:
- Three years of proven experience in conducting business development and/or training activities;
- Experience in facilitating and organizing interactive work sessions and group discussions, as a tool to identify needs and priorities for assistance;
- Capacity to provide complete logistical support (including but not limited to staff resource for administrative assistance, knowledge of appropriate conference facilities, established connections with local media resources, etc.);
- Food Safety background as well as understanding of the high-value agricultural sector is an advantage;
- Established linkages and relationships with agribusiness enterprises, high value agricultural produce exporters, certification agencies and governmental bodies;
- Proven ability to prepare professional reports in English, in addition to Romanian and Russian.
