Call for Applications - Agricultural Marketing Training Seminars Organizational and Logistical Support to CNFA Agribusiness Development Project (ADP) May 20, 2005
The USAID-funded Agribusiness Development Project aims to increase the export competitiveness of Moldova’s high-value agricultural sector (consisting of fruits, vegetable and table grape clusters). As part of the technical assistance provided to producers, handlers and exporters of fresh fruits and vegetables, ADP is organizing training seminars on Raising Competitiveness of Moldovan Agricultural Products. CNFA calls for applications from enterprises (NGOs or private companies) to provide organizational and logistical support in organizing and conducting this training activity. The sub-contractor will be responsible for: br> - Selecting an appropriate venue for the training, br>
- Selecting and inviting the participants (in close coordination with CNFA), br>
- Selecting speakers/consultants and facilitating the preparation of presentation materials, br>
- Compiling a final report regarding the attendance to the seminar, presentation topics and participant evaluation.
Interested organizations must observe the following requirements: br> - Proven experience in organizing and conducting training activities; br>
- Capacity to provide complete logistical support (including but not limited to staff resource for administrative assistance, knowledge of appropriate conference facilities, etc.); br>
- A good understanding of the high-value agricultural sector; br>
- Established linkages and relationships with agribusiness enterprises and companies involved in agricultural marketing.

- Company Profile outlining organizational capacities and experience (3-4 pages) br>
- Training Program Outline, containing topics of increasing competitiveness through product development, the role of quality standards in increasing competitiveness, and sales methods and techniques br>
- Projected Budget, according to specifications in the Terms of Reference.
