Tender Announcement - Organizational and Logistical Support to ADP February 20, 2006
The USAID-funded Agribusiness Development Project aims to increase the export competitiveness of Moldova’s high-value agricultural sector (consisting of fruits, vegetable and table grape clusters). As part of the technical assistance provided to fresh fruits and vegetables producers, handlers and exporters, ADP is organizing a “Culture of International Quality” seminar, outlining how to meet International and European marketing requirements that are essential for suppliers wanting to export to European markets. CNFA announces a tender for enterprises (NGOs or private companies) to provide organizational and logistical support in conducting the seminar. The sub-contractor will be responsible for: - Selecting an appropriate venue for the seminar
- Secure all necessary logistics for a one-day seminar,
- Selecting and inviting the participants (in close coordination with CNFA)
- Assist in presentations preparations, ensure translation to Romanian (where needed), print out hand-out materials for seminar attendees
- Identify a moderator for the seminar
- Within a 10 day period, prepare a final report describing the conducted event, topics covered and present full attendees list and their contact details
- Coordinating mass media participation
Interested organizations must observe the following requirements: - Three years of proven experience in conducting business development and/or training activities;
- Capacity to provide complete logistical support (including but not limited to staff resource for administrative assistance, knowledge of appropriate conference facilities, established connections with local media resources, etc.);
- Understanding of the high-value agricultural sector
- Knowledge of European markets would be an advantage;
- Established linkages and relationships with agribusiness enterprises, high value agricultural produce exporters, producers, certification agencies and governmental bodies
- Proven ability to prepare professional reports in English, in addition to Romanian and Russian.
