Tender Announcement - Organizational and Logistical Support to ADP

March 9, 2006

The USAID-funded Agribusiness Development Project aims to increase the export competitiveness of Moldova’s high-value agricultural sector (consisting of fruits, vegetable and table grape clusters). As part of the technical assistance provided to fresh fruits and vegetables producers, handlers and exporters, ADP is organizing four one-day EurepGAP seminars, outlining how to meet key EurepGAP standards - which are increasingly essential for producers wanting to export to European markets. The key target audience will be producers and agribusinesses already exporting, or with the capacity to export fresh or processed fruits and vegetables. The seminars will be held between the dates of March 28 and April 18, 2006, and will be organized in four regions of the country: North, Centre, South-East and South-West. CNFA announces a tender for enterprises (NGOs or private companies) to provide organizational and logistical support in conducting the seminars.

The sub-contractor will be responsible for:

  • Selecting and inviting the trainees in close coordination with CNFA; the suggested participants for a one-day seminar should be not less then 25 people;
  • Selecting and suggesting appropriate locations and venues for the seminars;
  • Secure all necessary logistics for four one-day seminars, including lunch and coffee breaks, etc.
  • Minimum one person to be present and assist CNFA staff during the training days.
Interested organizations must observe the following requirements:
  • Three years of proven experience in conducting business development and/or training activities;
  • Capacity to provide complete logistical support (including but not limited to staff resource for administrative assistance, knowledge of appropriate conference facilities, established connections with local media resources, etc.);
  • Understanding of the high-value agricultural sector;
  • Knowledge of European markets would be an advantage;
  • Established linkages and relationships with agribusiness enterprises, high value agricultural produce exporters and producers;
  • Proven ability to prepare professional reports in English, in addition to Romanian and Russian.
Interested candidates should present a Letter of Interest, Company Profile outlining organizational capacities and experience (3-4 pages) and a Proposed Budget for the events to CNFA office, by e-mail to icoretchi@moldova.cnfa.org, by fax at (373 22) 577931 or by postal mail at CNFA Moldova, 33/1 Bulgara Street, Chisinau, MD-2001.
