GLOBALG.A.P.® is a food safety standard required by exporters of fresh fruits and vegetables entering major EU export markets. Known previously as EUREPGAP®, GLOBALG.A.P. standards are designed to ensure and demonstrate that European Food Safety requirements have been implemented and maintained by the grower. GLOBALG.A.P. standards were written by major European retailers and buying organizations, and are recognized and implemented by growers worldwide.
The HACCP food safety system is a scientific, rational and systematic approach to identification, assessment and control of hazards during production, processing, manufacturing, preparation and use of food. The system is designed to ensure that food is safe when consumed - i.e. that it does not present an unacceptable risk to health.
