An international development organization seeks expressions of interest from qualified local candidates for long-term technical positions for an upcoming multi-year project in Moldova.
River Basin Management Specialist We are seeking a senior specialist in Integrated Water Basin Management (IWBM) to manage development of a large-scale river basin management program in Moldova. The specialist will be required to manage a large national team of experts in designing and implementing an IWBM program in Moldova based on participation and coordination with all types of stakeholder, and targeting for maximum transformational change at the basin level.
- Knowledge of all aspects of water supply, water quality, and EU Water Framework Directive measures and guidelines essential.
- Practical experience in application of EU WFD river basin guidelines, including GIS and data management, participatory planning and situation analysis
- Knowledge of basin hydrology, Minimum 5 years experience in water basin management in Moldova and the region
- Ability to communicate and work in English and Romanian essential.
- University degree in hydrology or similarly relevant discipline.
