Another FtF Program Volunteer To Assist Capital Consulting Company Ltd in Tiraspol

Within the Farmer-to-Farmer Program (FtF), between August 3 and August 19, 2010, an American expert will consult the Capital Consulting Company (Tiraspol) on strategic planning. Mr. Kenneth Hart, agricultural extension service professor, has been elected by competition for rendering assistance on a voluntary basis to some Transnistrian enterprises. The FtF volunteer assistance will be focused on experience transfer, strategic planning assistance, training the company staff in Business Planning, as well as developing and improving the list of services.

Company is the leading provider of consulting services and infrastructural development of entrepreneurship, local associations and the economy overall in the Transnistrian region. The Company was founded in 2007 due to the cooperation of the professionals in different fields and nowadays is a comprehensive resource center for business development and support of entrepreneurship. The Company’s experts are experienced in the small and medium business supporting projects implementation both in the Transnistrian region and Ukraine.

During his stay in Moldova Mr. Kenneth Heart will visit also the Fics LLC situated in the village Tirnauca (the Slobozia district), specializing in vegetables production and interested in the business management practices improvement.

In June 2010, the Capital Consulting Company ltd started its cooperation with the FtF Program. Two American FtF volunteers visited Transnistria in June-July 2010. In cooperation with the CCC, Surendra Dara, a strawberry growing expert, held a seminar for around 20 Transnistrian producers. At the same time Jasha Levenson, a web development specialist, visited the CCC to discuss the possibility of a web-based market information system creating.

The FtF Program provides farmers’ associations, cooperatives and agribusinesses with the opportunity to benefit from free American consultancy in order to improve their performances through a professional approach to the technical and financial issues.

The Farmer-to-Farmer Program was launched in the Republic of Moldova in 1999 and was prolonged in 2003 and 2008. During last 10 years, 20,000 Moldovan beneficiaries were assisted for the purpose of enhancing the Moldovan agribusiness competitiveness, employment opportunities, as well as people’s income. In the Republic of Moldova, CNFA is currently implementing the five-year Farmer-to-Farmer Program, worth $2.5 million, and has recently concluded the $12 million-worth Agribusiness Development Project.
