EUREPGAP Regulations

General Regulations and Control Points & Compliance Criteria

...October 4, 2005

European markets require strict quality and food safety measures for agricultural products, which Moldova can learn to produce and supply on a competitive basis.

To assist Moldovan producers of high-value fruits and vegetables in adjusting to new quality requirements, ADP has launched an initiative for introducing the EUREPGAP food safety protocol to local farms. After organizing a successful awareness campaign through the national conference on Food Safety and EUREPGAP, ADP proceeded with translation of the General Regulations and the Control Points and Compliance Criteria, the most important EUREPGAP documents, into Romanian. On-site training sessions are held for interested producers, while ADP grant assistance is specifically targeting adjustments needed to pass EUREPGAP certification.
